Funda Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 132th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 38.7 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Aracatiba settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious bay with turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Funda Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail about 500m long. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

The beach is a serene and secure spot that is perfect for a camping adventure. I particularly relish spending my time at Praia do Meio, as it is a delightful location that offers a plethora of enjoyable activities.

The purportedly "excellent" experience of being in close proximity to nature is nothing but a facade. The trail that leads to the beach is surrounded by an overgrown and suffocating forest that is anything but inviting. The only saving grace is the trail itself, which is maintained to a certain degree. However, the beach itself is nothing special and does not justify the effort of getting there. The only thing worth listening to is the sound of your own disappointment.

What a phenomenal location! This beach is truly a slice of paradise on earth. The sun-kissed sand and crystal-clear waters make for a picturesque view that is simply breathtaking. The sound of waves crashing against the shore is like a soothing lullaby that puts you in a state of complete relaxation. It's hard to resist the temptation of taking a dip in the refreshing ocean and feeling the cool breeze on your face. This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone seeking a little slice of heaven on earth.
