Great Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 34th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 118.6 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Arraial do Cabo settlement, just 3.2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Great Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. There are also some surf spots.

Fans of active recreation can take part in beach volleyball.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach is peaceful, but it's important to be cautious of the individuals operating the kiosks. They have a tendency to charge one price for dining at the kiosk and a higher price (twice as much) for dining on the beach. Despite claiming that chairs and umbrellas are free, they actually charge for them.

The beach is perfect for enjoying the sunset, but the staff's service is extremely disappointing. They overprice their portions and poorly prepare drinks, and they even have the audacity to charge an exorbitant amount for renting a chair and table (they quoted me 80 reais, just to give you an idea).
