The beach is stunning during the afternoon, but it's important to exercise caution when it comes to the water.
In 2018, a friend and I visited this beach by hitchhiking with a tent. We stumbled upon this enchanting place by chance and were impressed by the friendly and genuine locals. This beach is considered the safest spot in Rio de Janeiro, so there's no need to be concerned about any negative incidents. It was the highlight of my trip to Brazil, spending my best days in this city on this beautiful beach.
Although I prefer Grumari for its natural setting, this beach is also decent. There are plenty of inexpensive restaurants in the area and the cost of renting chairs and umbrellas is reasonable.
This is the final beach you can explore along the Rio de Janeiro coastline. The sea was tranquil during our visit, and we enjoyed a full day there. We opted for an Uber ride, which made parking a non-issue. The rental rates for chairs and umbrellas were affordable, as were the nearby restaurants.
