Moturoa Rabbit Beach is located on the Cook Strait (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 37th place out of 51 beaches in the Tasman region The beach is located in a natural place. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach offers a smooth, sandy terrain and few shells, making it ideal for a quick dip. While swimming is not the best here, there are better options nearby. The island is off-limits at night, and camping is not permitted. Access to the beach is via sand ramps, which unfortunately means that wheelchair users may struggle. Parking is ample, but be aware that this beach is a popular destination from late spring to autumn, so it can get quite crowded.
