Allans Beach is located on the South Pacific and it is in the 3th place out of 30 beaches in the Otago region The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Allans Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature, changing rooms, showers, toilets. .

Please note, that this shore has a significant low tide.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. There are also some surf spots.

This is a very beautiful beach. We weee here to try and see some penguins at dusk. But all we saw was sea lions which was not too bad in itself. The road here is quite small but not too much of a problem. We sat upon the rocks to the left of when you come down the parking and didn’t see any penguins. We left about 21.30 when it was getting really dark

Definitely go to this beach at low tide. I could see the water lines go all the way up to the rock wall. We saw sea lions napping. We went at 7pm. They camouflage themselves well lying amongst the beached kelp and rocks. Take your time and look closely. After walking the narrow path to the beach we headed to the left. It’s a beautiful secluded beach, there were very few people there. No facilities, and you will drive on narrow gravel road to get to the parking lot.

Great place for seeing sea lions and seals! The road that leads to the beach is 4km of gravel but it is ok with 2wd. There are female and male wildlife on the beach so please make sure you leave enough space between you, them and the beach.

Very quite beach and 2-3 minutes walk from parking area, very nice fragrance from Lupins thought out beach walk. Lucky to spot 3 sea lions. Don't disturb animals.

Amazing beach ever! Lots of wild seals lay on beach. You need to walk through a private farm to get there. On the way to beach, we’ve been chased by a female seal, which was unusual but funny experience, LOL!!!
