Fisherman Beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 89th place out of 105 beaches in the Jamaica region 58.8 km away from its center, the city of Kingston. It is one of the beaches of Ocho Rios settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Fisherman Beach in Ocho Rios is a cultural landmark and a must-visit for anyone in the area. You can support the local fishermen and enjoy some freshly cooked Jamaican-style catch right by the sea. It is conveniently located next to Margaritaville but offers a more authentic atmosphere. The beach underwent a complete renovation and has recently reopened with a few shops and food stalls available. Two restaurants on the second floor are almost finished. The beach and river have been cleaned up, although the swimming hole in the river is no longer there. It's bittersweet to see the changes, but I will always have a special place in my heart for this spot!
