Frenchman's Cove beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 6th place out of 105 beaches in the Jamaica region 47.3 km away from its center, the city of Kingston. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of San San Bay settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Frenchman's Cove beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

Without a doubt, Portland is my preferred destination to visit. The beach boasts stunning white sand and a refreshing river. The meals prepared in the kitchen were amazing, particularly the sizable, fresh, and perfectly cooked fish.

As we stepped onto the beach at 9am, we were thrilled to find ourselves as the first visitors of the day. The sight that greeted us was nothing short of breathtaking - a stunning Caribbean cove framed by a lush green freshwater river. The natural beauty of this place was simply awe-inspiring. And to top it off, we also enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant, with their jerk being a particular highlight. All in all, this was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the wonders of nature.

This beach is definitely one of the most stunning I have ever visited. The surroundings were impeccably clean and well-kept, creating a serene and picturesque atmosphere. However, I was slightly disappointed with the customer service at the restaurant. Despite being one of the first customers there, it took an excessive amount of time for our food to arrive, and the quality of the food was average at best. Additionally, the restaurant area is in need of some repairs. On the bright side, the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Overall, my experience was decent, and I would consider returning. This beach is quite lovely and well-maintained, with basic amenities available. It offers a slightly more resort-like atmosphere compared to other beaches in Portland.

This beach is a great spot! It's best to arrive early, around 11am-Noon, to secure a shady spot under a tree as it gets crowded quickly after that. There are plenty of areas to swim and maintain social distancing, including a clear river that flows into the ocean. The river even has swings over the water for added fun. The restaurant on-site offers a variety of food and drink options, including their famous pina coladas made with overproof rum. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this beach.
