I don't usually mind paying for a beach because I understand that the cost goes towards keeping the bathrooms and surroundings clean. Plus, the beach has beautiful golden sand that is very fine.
Under the new management, the beach has undergone a significant transformation, and although it may be a tad expensive, it now caters more to families. The seafood, festival, and bammy were all delightful and satisfying.
I had an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience at this beach. The atmosphere was serene and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The added bonus of free wifi and a complimentary beach chair made my visit even more enjoyable. The sandy area was pristine and the water was refreshing and clean enough to take a swim in, although there was some seaweed present. I appreciated the lack of vendors haggling me, as it allowed me to fully relax and unwind. Overall, I highly recommend this beach as a must-visit destination for anyone staying in Kingston or Portmore who wants to take a refreshing dip in the ocean.
The beach has beautiful fine sand, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the lovely view. It's also clean and secure, with life guards on duty. There are plenty of amenities available, including shaded areas and chairs to sit on, as well as a bathroom and shower area with toiletries provided. The only food shack can get busy, so it's best to order early or bring your own food. The parking area is large and convenient. The only downsides are the $1000JMD entry fee and limited shade options when the beach is crowded. However, you can always take a walk down the beach to the next food shack if you don't want to wait in line, and there are some lawn chairs available, although they may be limited.
The recent renovations done at the beach are simply delightful. The new management has done a remarkable job of cleaning up the area and transforming it into a paradise that resembles the famous Negril beach. After being closed for an extended period, the changes are a breath of fresh air and a welcome sight for all visitors. I highly recommend that you pay a visit and experience the beauty of this renewed beach for yourself.
