Nice
The beach is not well-equipped, unfortunately. Each cafe has its own section of the coastline where they charge a fee for renting sun loungers and a spot. When I purchased my ticket, they promised me that the beach was decent and that there would be enough sun loungers for everyone, all included in the ticket price))) This is my first time visiting Sukhum and it's quite disheartening to see remnants of the former Soviet grandeur without any improvements. Everything is crumbling, without any maintenance, and it's quite dirty.
The beach is nice, with plenty of room to spread out, although there are sizable pebbles during sunset. It's advisable to wear water shoes for a more comfortable experience. Additionally, there is a shower available, and you have the option to rent a sunbed with an umbrella. For some added fun, you can enjoy activities like riding a jet ski or a banana boat.
The MVO sanatorium area is in an appalling condition, with approximately 90% of the buildings abandoned and the remaining structures worn out by the same percentage. The beach is consistently dirty due to the nearby flowing river Besletka, and both on the shore and underwater, there are remnants of a concrete structure. It is evident that this place was undoubtedly stunning 30 years ago, but unfortunately...
Georgia is an incredibly beautiful country, and Abkhazia stands out as its most stunning region. I feel an immense sense of pride being born here, as the natural beauty is simply breathtaking. The people are incredibly kind and hospitable, making you feel welcome wherever you go. Not to mention, the food is absolutely delicious. Additionally, our history is rich and fascinating. I truly believe that one day, the people of Georgia will come together and live in harmony and peace.
