There are a few improvements that need to be made along Gonio beach. It's a work in progress, so I'll give it a five-star rating soon! By the way, the boulevard is fantastic for biking or taking a stroll during sunset.
The beach offers a beautiful view and stretches out for a long distance. However, when the current and wind are unfavorable, the sea can become muddy. Additionally, there is a problem with garbage being brought in from the Chorokhi River.
The beach is stunning, with crystal-clear water and a peaceful atmosphere.
Gonio nowadays is not small village, it is actively built up with high-rise hotels including on the first line. The beach itself has a large length and in the southern part it is quite crowded, while the northern part, where there are no hotels at all, is more free. The cover is a middle sized pebbles. The beach equipped with changing rooms and showers but finding the toilet can be a problem. There are several cafes, but keep in mind that the walk to them can be quite long if you are not in the central part of the beach.
Gonio beach is a clean and spacious beach with crystal-clear water. Unlike Batumi, it doesn't get crowded as there are only a few people around. It's advisable to bring an umbrella if you want to avoid getting sunburned. Personally, I absolutely adore this place.
