Campiotel beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 48th place out of 52 beaches in the Charente-Maritime region 30.7 km away from its center, the city of La Rochelle. It is one of the beaches of La Tricherie settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Campiotel beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

We were quite disappointed with our visit to this beach. We had planned a short bike ride with our children from our nearby accommodations. However, we were not encouraged by the water treatment plant on the way. To our dismay, we found horse excrement all along the trail leading to the beach. Upon arriving at the beach, we encountered bags of trash scattered around. If you're looking to swim, I would suggest finding another beach. This one is quite rocky and not ideal for swimming. We were the only ones there for a while, and now we understand why. 😂

The beach is indeed beautiful, but in order to avoid the rocky terrain, you'll need to venture about 10 minutes away from the usual access point. Once you do, the beach becomes even more picturesque and intimate.
