Hendaye Beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 14th place out of 16 beaches in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques region 114.8 km away from its center, the city of Pau. It is one of the beaches of Hendaye settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is fantastic with its golden sand, but unfortunately, parking is a challenge and the air quality is poor. Additionally, there are no water or electric facilities available, and some amenities are broken with no plans for repair until 2023, despite still being charged for them.
