Gorgeous shoreline. Stunning surroundings. Nevertheless, instead of sand, there are tiny pebbles that can be quite painful to walk on. Consider bringing along some water shoes to navigate the area comfortably. Dogs are permitted on this well-monitored beach, and the lifeguard team is highly attentive and responsive.
Fantastic shoreline, incredibly spacious, vast expanse, stunning ocean swells, surfing, enjoyable.
Amazing complimentary beach on the sea, Gulf of Biscay, in Anglet, just a short 15-minute drive from Bayonne where we spent the night. The sound of the waves crashing on a breezy day attracts surfers with delight.
Showers are unavailable for what seems like water conservation purposes, despite the presence of a large golf course nearby that uses a watering system. The decision to restrict access to showers results in individuals having to return home covered in sand and sweat to shower, ultimately defeating the purpose of water conservation. The lack of logic in closing the showers during the summer in a region known for its abundant rainfall is puzzling.
Adore that shoreline, top surfing location in the Basque region.
