Plage des Americains is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 18th place out of 27 beaches in the Gironde region 56 km away from its center, the city of Bordeaux. It is one of the beaches of Ancien Sanatorium Vincent de Paul settlement, just 4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and white sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal.
