Plage du Moulleau is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 6th place out of 27 beaches in the Gironde region 54.4 km away from its center, the city of Bordeaux. It is one of the beaches of Ancien Sanatorium Vincent de Paul settlement, just 1.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

The beach is lovely, with a few benches where you can grab a bite or simply savor the beautiful surroundings. There are also some shaded areas and a delightful restaurant situated right by the shore, making it a truly tranquil and enjoyable experience.

It's enjoyable to unwind and watch the boats at the beach. However, when we got there, it was low tide and the children were having a great time in the water. It was a good first-time experience, although I must mention that the parking fee is quite costly. We only stayed for two hours. There is a nearby restaurant, but reservations need to be made 15 days in advance.
