This is a fantastic spot to stop by if you're driving around the area. The shoreline boasts a rugged and stunning landscape with waves crashing against the rocks, making it a serene place to sit and take in the view. Although not ideal for swimming, it's a peaceful and secluded spot to appreciate the ocean's beauty.
This park is a must-see if you're in the area. The water near the lava rocks looks like it's glacier blue, and the views of the cliffs are truly spectacular. There's a huge grassy field that would be perfect for a picnic or playing games. Additionally, there are two sets of bathrooms and showers, which is a nice touch.
The beach is peaceful and fairly isolated, with ample parking options for those seeking solitude. I visited during the late afternoon on a day with high surf warnings.
The beach was stunning and camping overnight with a permit was possible. There were amenities like an outdoor shower, restrooms, and a cooking area available. After setting up our tent, we spent time exploring the park and fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing.
This is a beautiful spot located at the end of a narrow road. It's important to park in the designated spaces and be respectful of the area. Once you're there, you can enjoy the sound of the waves crashing on the lava, the steep cliffs, the sea spray, and the eerie light filtering through the trees. Although the beach is small and rocky, the views and sounds are constantly changing.
