Wow, this beach is absolutely stunning. The water is remarkably cleaner than Hammonassett Beach, although it is a bit colder. Non-residents can expect to pay $2.5 per hour for parking. The sand is immaculate and free from any shells. Despite being quite busy, the beach is still spacious enough to enjoy without feeling overcrowded. There are plenty of activities to enjoy such as swings, volleyball, and even porter-putty. I have definitely found my new favorite spot.
Strolling along the boardwalk beyond Savin Park is an incredibly serene experience. The sunsets that grace the horizon are truly breathtaking, providing a picturesque view that is simply delightful.
The beach is a lovely spot to take a leisurely stroll by the shoreline. However, visitors from out of state should be aware that parking fees are charged hourly, which might be a bit more expensive than other beaches where a flat fee is charged. The main drawback of this beach is the abundance of litter that can be found both in the water and on the shore.
This beach is an ideal destination for those who enjoy fishing, taking leisurely walks, and admiring the stunning beauty of the ocean and the world around them. Whether you're alone or with your significant other, this spot offers an unparalleled experience. The moon rising up from the water in Long Island Sound is a sight to behold and will leave you in awe. This beach is truly one of a kind and can only be found in Connecticut.
The Long Island Sound beach is nothing but a mediocre sight. The so-called great stretch of beach and grass is just an ordinary patch of land that is supposed to be used for a workout. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a depressing reminder of the horrors of war, and the Sandy Point Bird Sanctuary is just a place for birds to do their business. The 2-mile walk or run is nothing but a tedious task that will leave you feeling drained and exhausted. And don't even think about taking your puppy with you, as it will only make the experience even more unbearable.
