Geriba Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 5th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 134.1 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Armacao dos Buzios settlement, just 3.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Geriba Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. There are also some surf spots.

If you're planning a trip to Buzios, I highly recommend staying at this beach, especially if you choose to rent a house like we did. The waves can be a bit challenging for young children, but they offer some of the most impressive surfing and boogie boarding opportunities I've ever witnessed in the Atlantic Ocean. The beach itself is quite spacious and not excessively crowded. Additionally, there are bars located at one end where you can grab some food.

The beach is really lovely. Finding parking could be a bit challenging, but there are a few coffee shops where you can grab some food and drinks. The sand is pristine and has a beautiful golden color, while the ocean water has gentle, enjoyable waves. It's quite fun and attractive, especially since the water is warm. The view is absolutely breathtaking. I definitely want to come back here again.

If you happen to visit Búzios, this beach is definitely worth checking out. It stretches out for quite a distance and has a refreshing breeze, along with soft, warm sand that feels delightful under your feet. While there is a beachside establishment that can be a bit pricey, purchasing a few beers will grant you access to the comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas.

The beach is quite spacious, providing ample room to play various sports like ball and racket games without causing any inconvenience to others. It offers different sections, some with stronger waves and light surf, while others are more peaceful, making it safe for children to play. Additionally, the beach has plenty of open space, so there is no need to rent an umbrella, which can be challenging at other beaches in Buzios. The prices are also lower, and due to its size, there is a wide variety of food and snacks available. Unfortunately, there is a downside to this beach. Although Brazilian laws prohibit charging for umbrellas, this rule is not enforced, resulting in people charging whatever they want, even for unspecified services or simply for using the umbrella without meeting a minimum consumption requirement.
