Virgens Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 365th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 135.5 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Armacao dos Buzios settlement, just 1.6 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and rocks cover, so it is highly recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

To reach the beach, you can take the trail that begins at Praia dos Amores, located at the end of Praia do Canto, on the outskirts of Brigit. The trail is simple, but don't expect much from the beach itself as it consists mainly of rocks. Swimming is not possible, but you can capture plenty of stunning photos. If you're up for it, you can continue along the beach, following the rocks on the left, to reach Turtle Beach.

The beach is compact and typically not crowded, making it perfect for those seeking tranquility and the soothing sounds of the water and nature. The water is pleasantly warm, although it is shallow and filled with stones, posing a risk of slipping and getting scraped. There are pockets of natural shade provided by small trees, offering a respite from the sun. Access to the beach can be challenging, as one must navigate wet stones, and if you have a lot of belongings, there is a high likelihood of slipping.
