Serena Beach is located on the Alboran Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 21th place out of 105 beaches in the Almeria region 20.1 km away from its center, the city of Almeria. It is one of the beaches of El Solanillo settlement, just 3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long bay with green water and gray shell sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Serena Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

This spot was far from perfect. The sand was coarse and the waves were too choppy for a relaxing swim. The view was mediocre and the amenities were lacking. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing special.

The beach was great! The sand wasn't the softest, but it was a grey, rougher sand that didn't get blown around in the wind - a definite plus! The promenade and bike track were top-notch, and the bathrooms were open too. Even in the middle of December, when it was windy and the sea was wild, it made for a wonderful, brisk stroll along the promenade for miles.
