Calahonda Beach is located on the Alboran Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 37th place out of 135 beaches in the Malaga region 48.9 km away from its center, the city of Malaga. It is one of the beaches of Nerja settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with crystal blue water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Calahonda Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

This beach is situated close to the Balcón de Europa in the heart of Nerja. It's a small, cozy and protected area, with sunbeds for rent. During the summer months, there's a small kiosk close by that offers drinks and snacks. It's only a short stroll up to the city centre, where you'll find a range of amenities. This beach is popular throughout the year, as evidenced by photos taken in late October, November and December 2021.

The beach most associated with and visible from the Balcony is a popular spot, but it has a pleasant atmosphere. Make sure to get there early to secure your spot for the day. There are great amenities such as showers, toilets, and the convenience of the Balcony for food and drinks, which is a welcome relief when it gets hot in the afternoon sun.

This beach is a tiny paradise, but you'd better get there early to secure a good spot. The scenery is stunning and the area is packed with touristy attractions like souvenir shops and eateries. Plus, there's a bus from Malaga every hour, so you won't have to worry about transportation.

This beach was absolutely stunning! We loved it and the prices for the beds were very reasonable - just 5 euros for the whole day, plus an umbrella and a little table. I strongly recommend this beach in Nerja - it's the most beautiful one I've seen!
