That place is an absolute gem! Getting there can be a bit tricky as it is a dirt road, but it is totally worth it. absolutely stunning and I had a wonderful time there. Highly recommend!
A stunning beach with volcanic rocks right at the shoreline. A short drive away from Playa de los Genoveses, this beach is much windier than its neighbouring spot. Perfect for kids as the shoreline slopes gradually into deeper waters. Parking is conveniently located a short distance away, so you don't have to worry about parking illegally on the roadside, like many other beachgoers. Cabo de Gata is a wonderful place to explore, however, be sure to leave before sunset as the area is swarmed with pesky mosquitos.
This beach is a paradise for families, boasting pristine sand and shallow, balmy waters. It's ideal for children, with plenty of space to play and splash around. Weekends can be crowded, but the reward of a parking spot makes the wait worthwhile. A little further down, you'll find a second beach with strong winds and excellent waves.
This amazing location is the perfect spot for a variety of activities. Swimming, sunbathing (just be careful!), walking, sightseeing, snorkeling, reading, taking in the fresh air and daydreaming are all great ways to spend your time here. The Mediterranean's crystal-clear waters and volcanic landscape make it a truly unique spot. To experience the best of Cabo de Gata's beaches, plan to visit during the off-season, from autumn to spring. During the summer, the natural park has restrictions on entry, but if you go early in the morning you can catch the bus.
The beach was far from spectacular. The sand was soft, but the sea was out and the wind was strong. We were one of only a handful of people there, but the rocks provided some shelter from the wind, as well as a bit of shade. All in all, it was an underwhelming experience.
