Carabeo Beach is located on the Alboran Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 37th place out of 135 beaches in the Malaga region 49.1 km away from its center, the city of Malaga. It is one of the beaches of Nerja settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with crystal blue water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Carabeo Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Personally I consider this beach in Nerja to be the top choice. It's not too large, but the scenery is stunning. There are showers and bathrooms available, and if the weather permits, the best bet is to take a dip close to the rocks (Balcon de Europa direction) for a pleasant surprise. If you are in Nerja and you admire the ocean, this beach is a must-visit.

That place was gorgeous with good waves, but I learned my lesson: don't take my youngest son to the rocks or I might get hit by a wave and end up on another rock, with both of us bleeding. And don't wake up my sunbathing girlfriend with all the blood either, as it's not a great way to ruin her tan. I also got stung by a jellyfish, which didn't help the situation. All in all, I'd give this beach an A++. I'd definitely go back!

Carabeo Beach is tucked away from sight due to the cliffs that encircle it, however, it can be easily located by taking a stroll down Calle Carabeo from Nerja's center. To get to the beach, you'll have to descend a set of steep steps into a cove that is surrounded by towering rocks on either side.

This spot is a small, secluded spot that is usually quite tranquil but can get quite busy on the weekends. Access is a bit tricky as you have to go down a few steps to get to the beach. There are no amenities, so remember to bring your own food and drinks. In the past, there was an ice cream stall, but it was gone when we last visited. The sand here is a distinctive gray color.
