Atzikiari beach is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 460th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 52.3 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Itanou settlement, just 3.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with green water and brown sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.
