Ammoudara Beach II is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 114th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 51.2 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Amoudara settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with green pure water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Ammoudara Beach II coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

I discovered the Island's warmest beach, which had exceptionally clean and crystal-clear water. We were so captivated by its beauty that we could have spent the entire day immersed in the refreshing water. The proximity of various restaurants with attentive waiters was a delightful bonus. The music playing in the background added to the perfect ambiance. The pleasant breeze provided relief from the scorching heat. The kids unanimously declared this beach as the ultimate swimming destination.

The beach offers a long expanse with numerous sun loungers and umbrella rentals, as well as tavernas and beach bars. However, there are certain sections without amenities where the beach tends to be less tidy. Showers, changing rooms, and lifeguards are readily available throughout the area. There is a fantastic sandy beach located just a short 10-minute drive away from Heraklion Airport. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of free parking, as well as a selection of charming restaurants that offer excellent value for money.

The beach in Heraklion is absolutely stunning, with its long stretch of sandy coastline. The sandy bottom is not too deep, making it perfect for swimming. You'll find umbrellas and sunbeds available, as well as a few cafes and kantinas where you can grab a coffee or snack. Additionally, there is a spacious parking area right by the beach, along with shower facilities. It truly is a fantastic experience!

Beach chairs can be obtained at no cost when you purchase drinks or food (such as at Full Mezze). The ocean was pleasantly warm and pristine. Yellow buoys are used to indicate the presence of stones in the water. With the exception of Sundays, the beach and its chairs were not overly crowded.
