Vathi beach is located on the Thrace Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 84th place out of 185 beaches in the Thrace region 67.8 km away from its center, the city of Komotini. It is one of the beaches of Chrysi Ammoudia settlement, just 1.6 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas. .

The cost of umbrellas at this beach is quite high, it's almost as if they could use the money to pave the road leading to Limenas. However, the beach itself appears to be beautiful.

We went to this beach twice during our trip. If you want to stay near the water, the minimum spend is 30€. If you opt for the olive grove area, it's at least 25€. Additionally, if you decide to eat at the restaurant, the cost of the sunbeds is not included.

The beach provides a serene escape amidst lush greenery, but the journey to get there can be challenging for non-4x4 vehicles. Unfortunately, the beach is entirely owned by the hotel, which restricts access to non-guests and charges exorbitant fees for sunbeds.
