Golden beach is located on the Thrace Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 28th place out of 185 beaches in the Thrace region 70 km away from its center, the city of Komotini. It is one of the beaches of Golden Beach settlement, just 1.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and white fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing, sea kayaking.

Fans of active recreation can take part in beach volleyball.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach boasts of stunning natural scenery, complete with distinct rock formations. It's advisable to bring aqua shoes and snorkeling equipment to fully appreciate the exquisite underwater world.

The beach has excellent sand and a spacious area for sunbeds, with ample parking available. However, the bars and restaurants are a bit of a distance away and the drinks are a bit pricey. Additionally, the sunbeds are charged separately. The water is shallow and has a lot of waves, which makes it murky and opaque.

This beach is quite lovely. For 8-10 euros, you can rent an umbrella, two sunbeds, and enjoy two refreshing drinks. The water is exceptionally clean, and there's ample parking space available.

The beach is lovely with soft sand, and the water is crystal clear. It's an ideal spot for children to enter the water. We chose to spend our time at the Nouveau beach bar, but it's worth noting that to use the sun beds, there's a minimum consumption requirement of 20€. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The Golden Beach on Thasos is perhaps the best beach due to its ample size and lack of overcrowding. During our 9-day stay on the island, we spent 6 days at this beach because of its convenient location just 150 meters from our apartment. Compared to Marble and Paradise Beach, we found Golden Beach to be superior in terms of size, cleanliness, and the enjoyable waves. Additionally, there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby serving delicious food, including gyros and the best pizza on the island at Playa de Oro. Overall, we highly recommend a visit to Golden Beach.
