This serene and picturesque beach is a hidden gem, boasting crystal-clear waters and glistening pebbles that add to its natural charm. The absence of any commercial establishments like beach bars or shops means that you can truly disconnect and immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings. Remember to pack your own refreshments and beach essentials, but rest assured that the parking lot is conveniently located right by the beach. While we visited in September and found ample space, we recommend arriving early during peak season to secure your spot. Trust us, this is a destination that you won't want to miss!
The beach is a serene oasis even on a bustling Saturday. The sand is decent, not the finest, but it gets the job done. The lack of a bar may seem like a bummer, but it's actually a blessing in disguise. You can bring your own refreshments and set up camp without any hassle. The parking situation is a breeze, so you won't have to lug your beach essentials too far. As for the future, only time will tell if this tranquil beach will maintain its peaceful demeanor. If you're in need of some shade, there are a few trees that provide a respite from the sun. Just be prepared to fend off others vying for the same spot. 😄
I absolutely adore this beach! It's perfect for families with young children as the water is not too deep at the entrance. The crystal-clear water is exceptionally clean, making it an ideal place for swimming and other water activities. Moreover, the beach is never overcrowded, so you can enjoy your time in peace and tranquility.
The coast is adorned with fine-grained sand and the crystal-clear waters are a sight to behold. The beach is never overrun with people, and ample parking spaces are available. However, there are no establishments on the beach, so it is advisable to bring your own refreshments.
Agias Ioannis, also known as Kastri beach, is undoubtedly one of the best beaches I have ever visited. The water is crystal clear and inviting, and there is ample space on the beach and in the water to enjoy yourself without feeling crowded. The sand is decent and doesn't stick to your skin, making it perfect for sunbathing. Despite being a popular spot, there are hardly any waves, providing a serene atmosphere for relaxation. At the center of the beach, there is an expensive restaurant called Riviera, but if you're looking for something more affordable, head to the little wagon at the end of the beach called Kantina. They sell fast food like hot dogs and french fries, and although prices are not mentioned on the menu, it is still a great option. Additionally, you can rent a variety of rides at the beach, and snorkel or dive to enjoy the little fish swimming in the shallow water. It's worth noting that there are sea urchins between the rocks at the end of the beach, but in the sandy areas, the water is clear and safe for swimming. Overall, Agias Ioannis is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable beach experience.
