The beach offers a lengthy coastline and presents a combination of tiny sand and pebbles. The entrance to the sea is somewhat stony and the shoreline is relatively narrow. It could be beneficial to have specialized swimming shoes for a more comfortable experience. The water remains shallow for an extended period, making it a safe haven for children. Numerous bars and cafes are conveniently situated in close proximity to the beach.
The beach is a serene oasis with crystal clear waters and pristine sand stretching out for miles. Numerous restaurants and beach bars are scattered along the shoreline, making it easy to grab a bite or drink while soaking up the sun. The Agios Georgios (Saint George) area boasts long shallows with soft sand, perfect for young children to play in. However, it's important to watch your step as some areas of the sea floor may be slippery due to rocks.
This beach is an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful and enjoyable stay. The beach is remarkably lengthy and boasts tranquil waters that are perfect for a refreshing swim. It's best to visit in the morning to experience the calm waters as the wind tends to pick up later in the day. The beach stretches far enough to allow you to move away from the bustling tourist center to the quieter southern end. The sand is powdery soft and there are numerous restaurants and cafes to explore. While there aren't many rocks under the water, there are plenty of sea grass patches teeming with fish.
This stunning beach has a plethora of sunbeds and umbrellas, ensuring that visitors can relax in comfort while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Along the shore, there are a variety of cafes and restaurants, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat or a refreshing drink. Conveniently, parking is available near the beach, making it easy to access. As an added bonus, there is a scenic walking path that runs alongside the beach, allowing visitors to take in the breathtaking sea views as they stroll to and from the shoreline.
My review not about the beach itself, but instead about tourists and a lifeguard present at the beach. A tragic incident occurred where a dog, drowned only a few meters away from swimmers and a lifeguard. Shockingly, none of them attempted to help the dog, which was losing its life right in front of them. A woman who happened to be passing by was the one who ultimately extracted the dog from the water, but it was too late. When asked about the incident, the lifeguard responded that they had not been trained to perform CPR on a dog. The other individuals present remained silent and did not offer any assistance. To the tourists present, it is hoped that they will enjoy the rest of their vacation, though it is important to remember that they could have potentially saved a life and chose not to act. As for the lifeguard, it may be necessary to consider a different profession, as they were clearly unprepared and unqualified to handle a situation where a life was at stake.
