After reading numerous recommendations on various blogs and Google, we decided to take a detour of 1.5 hours to visit this beach. However, we were quite disappointed as it was just an ordinary beach with nothing extraordinary to offer. Although the beach was long and wide with nice sand, it did not live up to our expectations. The journey to reach the beach was quite time-consuming, especially if you are traveling from Volos, as the road was quite steep. Therefore, we felt that the time spent on the journey was not worth the effort. If you happen to be in the vicinity, this beach is worth a visit, but it is not a must-see destination. The beach is a sandy one with ample parking available just before the Ioannis beach, which is connected by a promenade.
The beach, while certainly picturesque, is not without its flaws. It may be suitable for families with children, but the marble pebbles can be treacherous to navigate and the sand is coarse and uninviting. While the water is indeed crystal clear, it is also frigid and unwelcoming. All in all, while the beach is certainly beautiful, it may not be the ideal destination for those seeking a relaxing and enjoyable day by the sea.
Behold, a colossal expanse of sandy goodness awaits you on the southern tip of Agios Ioannis village. The water is so clear, you could see a mermaid's tail swishing about. You have the option of bringing your own beach gear, or if you're feeling fancy, indulge in the beach bars' offerings. It's a perfect spot for families, so bring your little ones and let them frolic in the waves while you soak up the sun.
This beach is truly magnificent, with its pristine and picturesque surroundings. The crystal clear waters and soft sandy shorelines make it a perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. Moreover, the location of this beach is ideal, as it is conveniently located near a plethora of cafes and restaurants, allowing for easy access to delicious food and refreshing drinks. Additionally, the beach is well-maintained and kept immaculately clean, making it a pleasant and enjoyable experience for all visitors. Overall, this beach offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern amenities, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable beach experience.
The sandy beach is a perfect spot for children to play and have fun. It stretches out long and wide, with a handful of restaurants within walking distance. The beach is conveniently located near Papa Nero camping and during our stay, there weren't too many people around, leaving plenty of space to relax. Although I can't confirm if it's always like this, the waves were quite big during our two-day visit, providing a thrilling experience for adults. One unique feature of this beach is the dedicated area for playing soccer and volleyball, which I haven't seen anywhere else in Pelion.
