Leftos Gialos Beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 3th place out of 348 beaches in the Thessaly region 138.4 km away from its center, the city of Larissa. It is one of the beaches of Isiomata settlement, just 0.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

I arrived by boat and spent three hours at the beach. Initially, it appeared to be quite crowded, but I soon realized that it had an elegant atmosphere. The service was good, there were lovely trees, and the music was nice, creating a very pleasant vibe. However, the beach had pebbles that were a little too big to walk on barefoot and the water was surprisingly cold for mid-July.

The beach is absolutely stunning and deserves a 5-star rating. However, the downside is that the entire area is filled with umbrellas, leaving little space to lay your towel freely. The water is clean in the morning, but it tends to get quite bubbly by late afternoon. Although the beach bars serve delicious food and drinks, they are quite pricey compared to the typical Greek standards.

The water at all the beaches is crystal clear and the scenery is quite similar. However, this particular beach is heavily populated with umbrellas and the sound of club music from the nearby tavernas permeates the air. As a result, we didn't stay for very long.

To be fair, this beach deserves a 4.5 rating. The water is crystal clear and there are two organized establishments available. You'll have plenty of options for sun beds or pouffes to relax on, making it an extremely comfortable place to spend the day. However, keep in mind that the added comfort comes with a higher price tag. If you're willing to spend the money, this beach is a perfect 10/10 spot to visit. You'll have access to a variety of drinks and snacks, as well as two nice restaurants that offer a full meal with a beautiful view of the beach. If the sea isn't cooperating, one of the restaurants even has a pool. Although the sea is deep and clear, it's full of pebbles and can be a bit uncomfortable to step in or out of. There is some free space available for setting up your own equipment, but it's limited.
