Hondarribia Beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 11th place out of 12 beaches in the Gipuzkoa region 16.5 km away from its center, the city of Donostia San Sebastian. It is one of the beaches of Hondarribia settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

Hondarribia Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

Okay, but there is no infrastructure or amenities around, such as sun-beds or umbrellas. If you need to buy something like sunscreen or water, you're out of luck. It would be much better for tourists if there was at least a small shop. I was really disappointed with it. I recommend the French side instead, as it has everything you need and is easily accessible.

This location is an ideal spot for a quick swim due to its calm waters and it's also a great place for a winter walk, as it's so peaceful and quiet. What's more, it's easily accessible, making it the perfect spot for a quick getaway.
