Plage de Lafitenia is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 9th place out of 16 beaches in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques region 103 km away from its center, the city of Pau. It is one of the beaches of Akotze-Acotz settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

The beach is absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed how well the natural surroundings were maintained. On the left side, there's a charming pathway that leads to the beach, and from there, you can soak in the breathtaking view of the ocean. Additionally, there's convenient free parking available right before the stairs to the beach.
