The beach is quite charming, if you don't mind the agony of walking on sand and the constant disruption of airport noise ruining the soothing ocean sounds. However, the spot itself is decent and the Food Truck Wednesday event is a redeeming quality.
Oahu's beaches are quite typical, but unfortunately, many of the best spots are reserved for military personnel only. This feels like a scam and leaves visitors with limited options for enjoying the island's natural beauty.
I highly recommend paying a visit to this exquisite beach located in a private territory. However, it is important to keep in mind that you must have a valid driver's license and insurance card for your vehicle in order to gain access. Once you have obtained your pass for the day, you will be able to fully enjoy all that this stunning beach has to offer.
This beach, nestled in a sheltered cove and offering breathtaking views of the airport, is a true gem. We were delighted to find that hardly anyone else was there, allowing our family to revel in the beauty and tranquility of the beach with just one other family. It truly felt like we had discovered our own private paradise. It's worth noting that access to this beach is limited to those who reside in the gated community, adding to the exclusivity and allure of this hidden treasure.
Living in this area before, I was thrilled to have the chance to explore the gated housing community once again. The good news is that the housing is now open to the public and can be rented. The beach is just as stunning as I remember, but with the addition of comfortable lounge chairs and raised huts for relaxation. The view of Diamond Head from the shoreline is breathtaking, and you can also catch a glimpse of Tripler Hospital.
