Short Sands beach is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 8th place out of 28 beaches in the Maine region 142.8 km away from its center, the city of Augusta. It is one of the beaches of York settlement, just 4.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This small town boasts a lovely beach area with convenient amenities such as a public bathroom and a spacious playground for children. Parking is available for a fee of 2$ per hour. The surrounding area is dotted with a variety of charming shops and restaurants, making it an ideal destination to visit.

It's hard to put into words, but Short Sands at York beach in York, ME is definitely one of my go-to spots during the summer. However, the beauty of the area isn't limited to just one season. Throughout the year, the beaches of York, ME and York County offer stunning sunrises and the chance to witness the power of severe storms. Plus, if you're a traveler, I highly recommend visiting York in the winter to see the striking contrast between the two seasons. Just be sure to have fun and stay safe!
