There are ample parking opportunities available throughout the year, even during off-season periods. The fishing experience at the beach is exceptional, although the bites may not be as frequent as one would hope.
The parking facilities were excellent, providing ample space for vehicles. The distance from the parking area to the beach was just right, making it easy to access the sandy shores. The beach itself was truly awe-inspiring, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning views of the horizon.
I had a delightful experience at this beach. Although the water was chilly, it was crystal clear and inviting. The waves were present but not overwhelming, creating a perfect balance for swimming and playing. The atmosphere was family-friendly, with a crowd consisting mostly of families. The sandy beach was complemented by scattered rocks, adding an interesting touch to the scenery. The availability of bathrooms and showers was convenient, and the snack bar was a nice addition. I spent the entire day here and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will definitely make a return trip in the future. Additionally, it's worth noting that there is phone service available, which can be a rarity at some beaches.
Although the out of state fee of $40 seems exorbitant, the beach itself is quite delightful. During low tide, the numerous pools provide ample opportunity for exploration and discovery. However, the restroom facilities leave much to be desired and are quite unsanitary. Additionally, the parking lot is quite a distance from the beach, requiring a lengthy walk.
As a Milford native, this beach is my absolute favorite go-to spot. If you arrive early, you'll never have to worry about parking or finding the perfect spot to set up camp for the day. Before you head out, be sure to check the tide charts for the best experience. Although the food options have been closed during my last few visits, it hasn't been an issue for me since I always bring my own snacks. However, I've noticed that some visitors have been disappointed by this. On the bright side, the sand is always clean and the water is refreshingly cool. While the entry to the water may be a bit rocky, once you're in, it's smooth sailing.
