The beach provides fantastic public access, with no fees required. Amenities include a spacious parking area that can accommodate over 30 vehicles, as well as well-maintained restrooms and showers for rinsing off after a refreshing swim in the ocean waves.
The parking lot was conveniently located off A1A and provided ample space for my van and family, as well as other incoming and outgoing vehicles. Although I did not need to use them, the restrooms were easily accessible. The stairs we used had a ramp up, but unfortunately did not have a ramp down, which made it difficult for us to bring a wagon or wheelchair onto the beach. However, there were multiple points of access, so it's possible that there was a ramp at another location. The beach itself was stunning and pleasantly uncrowded during our midweek visit. We even brought our furry friend along, and it was his first beach experience, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I highly recommend this beach for families with children and pets. It was a fantastic day and a memorable experience.
As an avid beachgoer, I must say that this particular strip of shoreline located in Florida, along the Atlantic, is one of my top picks. It's situated a little north of Flagler, a charming town brimming with amicable locals, and offers the perfect spot to bask in the sun with your furry friend or little ones. It's a truly idyllic setting to while away an afternoon.
The Varn park beach is a practical and well-maintained destination. Its elongated parking lot ensures that every spot is conveniently located near a beach access point, and the lot itself is constructed entirely of concrete. The restroom facilities are modern and situated at the center of the lot. While it may not be as well-known as other beaches, it is a favorite amongst fishermen who flock there in the early hours. As the day progresses, the beach gradually fills up with sunbathers and swimmers.
I adore visiting this beach. As you venture further south along A1A, you'll come across numerous small beach entrances where you can park on the opposite side of the road and easily access the beach. It's never overly crowded in this area, which adds to its charm. After soaking up the sun and sand, make your way back to Varn Park to freshen up with their convenient showers.
