Complimentary parking, with an additional $2 for walk access. The beach boasts a free splash pad area and a play set area for children, along with facilities for bocce ball, volleyball, and a pavilion. However, the pier's construction may appear peculiar with its uneven ups and downs, making it less ideal for photography. Nonetheless, fishing enthusiasts will find it to be a great spot, with mesmerizing views and stunning sunrises. Beach access is free but be mindful of the high tide, as the beach may not be accessible during that time.
As an occasional angler, I am pleased with the provision of fishing gear and bait at this beach. It is always a delight to reel in small fish with my daughter, and we both thoroughly enjoy the experience. This is one of the reasons why we adore this beach.
The beach at St. Augustine is truly stunning, and I am already looking forward to returning to this charming town to delve deeper into its rich history. My visit was initially prompted by a concert, but I made sure to carve out some time to explore the beach before departing. Of all the beaches I have visited, St. Augustine stands out as my top pick due to its lack of overwhelming crowds (unlike Myrtle) and the abundance of activities available beyond just soaking up the sun (unlike Emerald Isle). Additionally, the convenience of having everything within walking distance is a major plus.
Ever since I was a child, this Pier has been a beloved destination for me. The simple act of strolling along its planks and immersing myself in the soothing sounds of the sea while experiencing the refreshing gusts of wind is an unparalleled sensation. The vistas that greet me are breathtaking, and I often encounter a variety of feathered and scaly creatures on my walks. Moreover, the fishing opportunities here are quite enjoyable, and it's a fantastic location to witness some of nature's most fascinating creatures.
The fishing pier at this beach is exceptional, boasting a prime location that is easily accessible. During our brief stay, we observed numerous individuals catching a diverse range of fish. The sunrises here are breathtakingly beautiful. Additionally, there are a plethora of breakfast options available at nearby restaurants. As we stood on the pier, we were delighted to see schools of dolphins swimming just off the coast, and groups of surfers on either side. The rates for this experience are reasonable, and we were pleased to find ample free parking in the lot directly in front of the pier.
