The serene and secluded northern beach at Fort De Soto Park is a haven for those seeking a peaceful escape. The beach is well-appointed with convenient amenities such as grills and public restrooms, as well as ample picnic tables nestled beneath the shade of towering trees. This beach is also a prime spot for fishing, offering an exciting opportunity to explore the park's untamed wilderness.
Without a doubt, this beach is among the most exceptional ones I have ever visited. The water is so calming and warm, and the sand is incredibly soft to the touch. While my children had a blast searching for unique seashells, my spouse and I enjoyed a breathtaking sunset. The playgrounds here are well-maintained, and it feels like you're in Rio with the green parrots flying about. This is a fantastic destination for families to relish while vacationing in Florida.
When exploring the St. Petersburg and Clearwater area, a visit to this beach is an absolute must. The vast expanse of soft, white sand stretches out before you as far as the eye can see, with plenty of shallow areas where little ones can safely play in the sand. A short and easy walk towards the north will lead you to a bustling area where boats are docked and people are fishing, swimming, and enjoying the water. Even when it appears to be full, there is ample parking available, and the large pavilions each come equipped with three built-in BBQ grills. Public bathrooms are also available, complete with toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. A simple shower stand is located outside the restrooms for washing off any sand. A small fee of $5 is required to enter Fort De Soto Park, but it's well worth it for the unforgettable experience.
This beach is truly a gem! It offers ample space for all beach-goers and never feels overcrowded. Additionally, there is no need to worry about parking as there is plenty available. The amenities are top-notch, including trash cans, a snack area, and restrooms complete with showers. Admission does come with a small fee of $5, but it is well worth it. The beach closes at 6PM, so be sure to plan accordingly. The water is crystal clear and the sunset is absolutely breathtaking. I had a wonderful time strolling along the shoreline and discovering a plethora of unique shells. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this beach and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day in the sun.
A wonderful retreat from the busy city life, this beach boasts crystal-clear waters, pristine white sand, and an abundance of birds and marine creatures. It's the ideal place to host a party or a barbecue with loved ones. Please note that pets are not allowed on the beach. The sunsets here are truly breathtaking and occur on most days.
