The beach is long and has golden sand, which is a great feature.
We had a fantastic time with the kids at the beach. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy, including a funfair, crazy golf, horse and donkey rides, and sunbathing on the beautiful sandy beach. We didn't have a chance to check out the new water slide leisure center, but it looked amazing. The parade had a decent number of public restrooms available. Finding a parking spot required some patience, but we eventually found one as people were constantly coming and going. Additionally, the nearby beaches were also worth visiting.
Great Yarmouth was an amazing place to visit. With multiple beaches to choose from, we decided to check out Pleasure Beach and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lively and there were plenty of activities to keep us entertained such as casinos, train rides, horse rides, street food, local shopping, and Marine Drive. We quickly realized that one day was not enough time to fully explore everything. I highly recommend planning for at least two days if you visit Great Yarmouth. The only issue we encountered was finding parking for our car. It was quite a challenge and we eventually found a spot, but it was quite expensive at 31 Pounds for a full day.
I've been coming to this beach since I was a child and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by how great it still is. The beach is well-maintained and very spacious, making it perfect for this time of year (April). The seafront is bustling with various attractions such as fairs, arcades, shops, and food stalls serving proper seaside chips, cakes, and ice cream. The fairs are especially enjoyable for kids and there are about four of them, not just the main pleasure beach. We also noticed a model village, although we didn't end up visiting it. Overall, it was a hassle-free day out - we visited the shops, then headed to the beach for some chips, ice cream, and big smiles. I even flew a kite for the first time at the age of 37 - it was a truly sweet experience!
Despite the chilly weather in the middle of February, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Great Yarmouth. It's a wonderful spot for a winter walk on the beach, and we were pleased to see that it's still well-maintained and pristine. The golden sand added to the overall beauty of the beach.
