The beach is truly magnificent, however, for those who have furry friends, it would be beneficial to know that the central stretch from the ramp is not dog-friendly. Therefore, it would be wise to park accordingly in the car park located further to the left of the main shops, which is closer to a walk up that side. Although we did not explore the right side, which is also dog-friendly, we opted for the left end of the beach, which required a fair walk along a road and over the dunes. Upon our return, we witnessed a few individuals using the ramp, so perhaps we should not have followed the rules 🤷♂️. Nevertheless, we were delighted to spot a friendly seal swimming close to the beach 🦭.
This stunning beach is an ideal spot for dog lovers, as it is incredibly welcoming to our furry friends. However, if you're not a fan of seeing other dogs on the sand, it might not be the best choice for you. That being said, there are designated areas where dogs are prohibited, so you can still enjoy the beach without any canine interruptions. Overall, this beach is perfect for families and offers a picturesque setting for a day spent in the sun.
I absolutely adore this beach! It's the perfect spot for taking my furry friends on a leisurely stroll and watching them frolic in the water. Not to mention, it's my go-to destination for unwinding and letting go of any stress. There's truly nothing quite like the sensation of strolling along the shoreline, basking in the soothing sounds of the waves crashing against the shore.
This beach is truly breathtaking. Its beauty is unparalleled. While swimming, I experienced a rush of excitement, but it's important to note that the current can be quite strong, so caution is necessary. I swam within the breakers on the right side of the lifeguard station, and it felt like I was propelled forward like a hungry shark going after its prey. It's worth mentioning that seals have been known to frequent this area, so it's important to be mindful of their presence and avoid interacting with them as they can be aggressive.
The beach is truly magnificent with its breakwaters that provide a sense of security and serenity. It's fascinating to see seals swimming close to the shore and curiously observing humans. The parking area is ample, and the toilets are well-maintained and spotless. Additionally, the amusement café showcases some historical pictures of the devastating storm surges that occurred in 1953. Overall, it's an exceptional place to unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature.
