This is a hotel for business traveller, not really suited for vacationers. My room was nice and clean, the food was fine, but got a little boring after the third day. The location is quiet and off any touristy places, good sleep was ensured. Experience with staff was mixed; friendlyness wasn't an issue, but communication was. I tried three languages, but that wasn't enough to obtain a proper invoice at early morning.
I would like to leave my very own, honest opinion about my stay at the Ulu resort hotel. I would like to thank all staff, they have been very helpful and have provided a professional service during our stay. Rooms were being cleaned daily, front receptionist were very informative and welcoming, waiters were polite and easily approachable. During the day the pool and the beach was both enjoyable, however the entertainment was terrible. There were a few activities by the pool but I felt like they were just done for the sake of it. The team was not energetic or vibrant and this was reflected on our mood. The hotel entertainment team was very arrogant and detached from guest casually drinking alcohol and smoking shisha with all guest in the evening which is very unprofessional of them.
One of the worse 5 star hotels, claims to be the best with the best resources but is the worst hotel I’ve been to. The beach that they claim to be private does not have anything, The chaise longues are far from the sea and only very few. NO LIFEGUARDS by the sea, people from the outside also making use of the so called “private sea”. No bar or refreshments as they claim by the sea. There is a second beach which has a snack bar that serves only chicken nuggets and chips everyday which finishes and you have to keep asking them to get off their arses and do something. They also claim to have water activities which is not true, apparently they no longer do it. The food is not the best, room cleanliness is good however everything is really old, bad lighting in the rooms. The beds are as hard as rock. They definitely do not deserve the amount of money they ask for. In the evenings theres only things to do for Children, then late night only concerts, no activities for the adults. The staff in the bar have to google how to make cocktails and they're terrible! Its so boring, the disco is not even a thing at this point.. TERRIBLE!
This was our second visit to Ulu Resort. Last year we gave it 5 stars. This year we were disappointed that our family room (4 adults and a baby) wasn't serviced at all during our 2 night stay, even though we requested it 3 times and should be done by default. Eventually, we received clean towels, but that was it. We felt the food had improved on last year so no complaints there. The resort itself is very pleasant with a variety of pools to choose from as well as two sandy beaches and one pebble beach. The views from the massive balcony are lovely.
One of the worst 5 star resort hotel I have ever been to and it is supposed to be all inclusive hotel but everything cost money, even the ping pong and pool 🎱 is costing you money and you can only play it for 1 hour. Their beach is so stony and it's not a good looking water either. Every activity ends at 19:00 so you don't have anything to do than waiting for tomorrow until you can do something, unless you want to pay a lots of money for playing pool 🎱 and ping pong. The food there is of very bad quality and nothing is fresh and the soup is made by instant soups. The swimming pools are overly filled with chlorine and they don't clean the water at all, they just fill it with more chlorine
