Sun beach is located on the Gulf of Thailand (part of South China Sea) and it is in the 69th place out of 95 beaches in the Surat Thani region 100.6 km away from its center, the city of Surat Thani. It is one of the beaches of Ban Hat Rin settlement, just 0.7 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sea kayaking.

Amazing local to full moon party, 15 mins walk. Has the best thai restaurant just opposite the hotel on the main room. So yummy. The family room we had was super spacious and next to the mad BASS 🔊 we still slept fine. They are super friendly and they sorted us out for all our backpacks and kids to the ferry. Extra towels and duvet given at request. Laundry service was quick and efficient. Smashing hotel

Not bad for the price, but no fridge in room. Free water in provided for the first night only? And rooms are not cleaned during your stay. It's a very big resort with over 100 rooms.

The location is around the bend for the busyness which could be great for some or too far for others. Suited our needs. The food is basic and higher in price than other places. The rooms are basic and our ac didn’t work, but for the price it served our needs. The view is the best!

My stay at Coral has been the highlight of my month long, first-time trip to Thailand. The location is stunning. The restaurant patio and adjacent pool are literally right on top of the beach. The grounds are a glorious botanical garden full of orchids and lotus with mango and papaya trees swaying in the breeze. I can't comment on the full menu as I fell in love immediately with the burmese curry, though they also had the best calamari I have ever encountered. The true stars of my whole experience were the staff who welcomed me as if a long-lost friend and bid farewell as if I were family. I won't forget these wonderful people and will be back to visit as soon as I can. If you are looking for a party but want more privacy than a hostel offers, you would do well at Coral around the full moon. If you want serenity and calm, you would do well at Coral between the full and half moon. If you want it all, just book a fortnight. 😉

Dirty dirty ditry!!! Aircon barlier works and is super loud. The bed sheet dirty and have many weird stains. The worker doesn't know what they are doing, this place super unorganized. Check-in time 2pm we arrive and tell us the room wasn't ready. No towels in the room told us to wait until 6 pm and have to walk all the way down to the restaurant to get it ourselves. Also, there is a dog shjjt on the walk way balcony second floor. Has been there many days and still no one cleaned it up.
