Haad Yao is located on the Gulf of Thailand (part of South China Sea) and it is in the 34th place out of 95 beaches in the Surat Thani region 104.2 km away from its center, the city of Surat Thani. It is one of the beaches of Ban Hat Rin settlement, just 4.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

A significant part of the beach has a restricted access. The beach facilities are only available to hotel guests. Their list includes, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sup-surfing, sea kayaking.

Exceptional. Our experience at the beach was nothing short of amazing. We indulged in some delicious tempura prawns, a delectable veggie dish with no name, and the mouth-watering red snapper. The food was simply outstanding and hands down the best meal we've had during our stay on Koh Phangan.

The beach is an absolute gem, complete with a cozy restaurant that serves delectable dishes. The best part? It's not swarming with people, but that's because it's tucked away in a remote location with an unpaved road. Unfortunately, taking a taxi is not an option. However, we opted for a thrilling 4x4 tour, while others chose to ride motorbikes. The locals are incredibly friendly and hospitable, adding to the overall charm of the beach.
