Getting to the beach is easy and affordable. You can take a mini van (4 reals), a moto taxi (7 reals), the regular bus (6 reals), or even walk (4-5 reals, but it may take over an hour). Depending on the beach, you can find strong, medium, or low waves. I particularly enjoyed this beach because it was peaceful, not crowded, and the water was beautiful. Plus, I felt safe leaving my belongings there.
The beach is overrun by vendors who relentlessly place chairs and umbrellas close to visitors, almost like a school of sharks.
Búzios is home to my favorite beach!
This beach is fantastic, with a section designated for scuba diving that is away from boats. The waters are crystal clear, and there are kayak rentals available. Be sure to check out the barraca do Cuca while you're there!
The beach had a stunning, slender shoreline. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and some of them were free. The waitstaff was excellent. It was a bit of a climb up from the Bardot statue, but the scenery was worth the effort. It was a great mix of families, couples, and groups of friends, and everyone seemed to be under 45. Definitely worth a visit!
