Antiguinhos Beach is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 132th place out of 375 beaches in the Rio de Janeiro region 152 km away from its center, the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the beaches of Sono settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Antiguinhos Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail more than 1km long.

This hidden gem of a beach is a secluded paradise, reachable only by foot along a scenic trail from the nearby beach of the ancients. The beach's small size and lack of crowds provide a sense of tranquility that is hard to come by in more popular spots. While the rocky terrain and powerful waves may require some extra attention, they also add to the beach's raw and natural beauty. Overall, I believe that these unique characteristics make this beach one of the most stunning in all of Paraty.

This stunning location boasts an incredible beach that truly takes your breath away. I embarked on the trail from Praia do Sono, which spans 3 km from Vila Oratorio to reach this paradise. The trail to Praia de Antigos e Antiguinhos can be found on the left corner of Praia do Sono, and while it is a challenging and slippery climb, the reward is well worth the effort. At its highest point, the trail reaches 700 m, but the view of Antigos makes it all worthwhile. And just beyond Antigos lies Antiguinhos, a small but incredibly beautiful beach with soft sand and tranquil waters. It's truly a sight to behold and an experience that will stay with you forever.

This so-called "extremely beautiful" beach is just like any other overhyped tourist trap. The only thing that's truly incomparable is the amount of people crammed onto the sand like sardines in a can. And don't even get me started on the "peace" - the constant chatter and screaming of children in the Christmas pool is enough to make you want to jump ship. Sure, the water may be in shades of blue and green, but it's not like you can even enjoy it with all the crowds. And let's not forget the hassle of getting there - a trail or boat ride that's not even worth the effort. Save yourself the trouble and skip this overrated beach altogether.
