Playa de Cueva Laya is located on the North Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 221th place out of 277 beaches in the Las Palmas region 31.2 km away from its center, the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is one of the beaches of Cuarteria El Uno settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and black sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Playa de Cueva Laya coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

What a beautiful beach! The water is so peaceful, and it's perfect for catching some waves. Surfing is a blast here - you can really enjoy yourself.

The beach was far from impressive. The sand was coarse and the water was murky. The view was unappealing and the atmosphere was dull. There wasn't much to do and the amenities were lacking. All in all, it was a rather unpleasant experience.

A great option instead of the beach at Arinaga, just a few steps or a quick drive away. Pebbly beach with lots of alcoves made from the pebbles, so you can relax out of the wind. Very popular with windsurfers.
