The water was so clear you could practically see through it - a stunning blue that was almost too good to be true. The beach was small and covered in stones, but it was still a charming spot to spend a day at.
Maro beach leaves much to be desired. The coastline in this area is quite dull and unremarkable, with nothing particularly noteworthy. However, Maro beach offers a more interesting experience. Snorkelling here is quite pleasant, with plenty of fish and coral to appreciate. If you're feeling daring, you can rent a kayak or go for a swim and see what else lies beneath the surface. During the summer months, you'll need to take a bus or walk the rest of the way, but it's still worth the effort.
That place is a bit of a trek, but the reward is worth it - the water is so crystal clear you can see your reflection in it! You can rent sunbeds and parasols, and there's plenty of activity around lunchtime, but no natural shade. For the adventurous, there are kayaks and paddleboards available to hire, although the waterfall was sadly dry when we visited. Don't forget to bring your own food and drinks, though - although you can always get a pizza delivered by moped!
This spot was absolutely wonderful! The water was so clear and peaceful when we visited and my son even managed to spot an octopus amongst the rocks! We had a great day and would definitely recommend it to others. The only thing to be aware of is the car parking and the situation to get there. You need to get there early to guarantee a space in the car park which is a km away and costs €1. But there is a shuttle bus which is convenient and reasonably priced at €1.50 per person return. Other than that, this beach is a great place to visit. It's worth noting that you'll need some rock shoes to get around the beach, but that's standard for the area. Highly recommended!
Playa de Maro is pristine and inviting! Even during the busiest of summer days, you'll find the perfect spot to park and enjoy the crystal clear waters. Plus, the views are absolutely stunning!
