Although the beach is nice, the effort to get there is not worth it. The journey takes around 40-50 minutes from Frog Beach, and involves crossing private land with muddy and slippery roads. Unfortunately, upon arrival, there is nothing much to do except enjoy the beautiful water. There are no facilities for food or drink, so it is recommended to make a stop at La Rosa Beach instead.
This serene and picturesque beach, situated near Red Frog Beach, left us mesmerized. We strolled along its shores every day and it felt like we were in paradise. During our walks, we also had the pleasure of spotting a sloth amongst the trees nearby.
The beach is truly a sight to behold, with its pristine and unspoiled appearance. It is a shame that there is a possibility of development in the area, which could detract from its natural beauty. The construction of a road for golf carts has already caused damage to the environment, and it is disappointing to see that a more sustainable solution, such as a walking trail, was not considered. It is important to preserve the natural wonders of our world for future generations to enjoy.
What an enjoyable day it was! We embarked on a 30-40 minute hike to reach the beach, and on our way back, we opted for a road which expedited our journey. Along the way, we had the pleasure of meeting Polo, the namesake of the beach. Although he seemed to be in his own world, he was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Polo has been residing on the beach for over 30 years and kindly prepared us a scrumptious lunch of fish and coconut rice for a mere $5. To accompany our meal, we purchased beers for $2, and Polo also offered us fresh coconuts and rum. The beach boasts an impressive reef which provides protection from the rough waves that can be found on that side of the island. Whether you prefer to snorkel or simply float around, this beach is an idyllic spot to do so. Additionally, it's highly likely that you'll have the entire beach to yourself. Our day began with a relaxing morning on the beach, and we ended it by returning to Polo's for a delicious meal.
Ah, the beach. A place where the sand is hot, the sun is scorching, and the ocean is... super calm? Yes, apparently this beach is so serene that you'll have it all to yourself. No need to worry about sharing your patch of sand with pesky tourists or noisy families. It's almost like your own private oasis... if you're into that kind of thing. And sure, the scenery is beautiful, but let's be real, you're not here for the views. You're here to bake in the sun and pretend that you're not secretly counting down the days until you can go back to your air-conditioned hotel room.
