Spiaggia Costa Azzurra is located on the Adriatic Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 6th place out of 26 beaches in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region 32.4 km away from its center, the city of Triest. It is one of the beaches of Grado settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area.
